Welcome to the New and Improved Boracay 2.0

Over the past 6 months Boracay underwent some serious rehabilitation and is ready to open her arms to the world once again. Everyone is very excited to get back to the Island and enjoy her beautiful beaches, delicious restaurants and dazzling nightlife. When you arrive to the Island you will experience a new and improved entry procedure.

Arriving at the Caticlan Airport

The new Caticlan airport is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 (note: this is ongoing in 2020). Guests arriving in Caticlan are currently using a temporary terminal in the town of Nabas about 15 minutes away from the Caticlan Jetty Port.

Getting to the Caticlan Jetty Port

When you exit the airport there are a couple of options you can choose from to get to the Caticlan Jetty Port. You can take an tricycle which is a bit of a pain because halfway to the port you need to transfer to a second tricycle due to a conflict between local municipalities. The other option is to book with one of the local airport transportation companies. We recommend MyBoracayGuide for a seamless, hassle-free airport transportation with a friendly guide.

Is your Hotel on the DOT Accreditation List?

To enter the Island of Boracay, the Department of Tourism is requiring all tourists to hold a voucher for a confirmed hotel reservation from a hotel that is on the list of DOT Accredited Hotels. Approach you the representative and provide them a printed copy of your voucher and they will give you a stamp and allow you to proceed. This policy is strictly enforced. If you do NOT hold a voucher for an accredited hotel you will not be granted entry.

To help protect the local environment and improve facilities of the Jetty Port you are required to pay the environmental and terminal fees before entering Boracay.

Terminal Fee (one-way) – 100
Environmental Fee – 75
